Tiverton Museum of Mid Devon Life is one of the South West’s most impressive local museums. It welcomes thousands of people each year to view its award-winning galleries, where they can discover the fascinating history of Mid-Devon. It is also a vital resource for local schools and has a excellent reputation for the quality of its educational offer. The museum holds one the largest collections in the West Country, including important rural life objects such as rare wagons and the iconic local steam locomotive ‘Tivvy Bumper’.

The museum is now seeking to appoint a new Chair of Trustees to lead its exciting plans to transform the site and make it a ‘must see’ destination for visitors and a superb resource for the community. The ideal candidate will be someone with a strong connection to the Mid Devon area, with diverse skills and experience of being a Trustee.
