Monday to Friday 10.30am - 4.30pm                 Saturday 10am - 3pm.

Unless otherwise stated, admission charges for the exhibitions only are: Adults £1.00

Object Identification Day

Have you found an interesting object while you have been gardening, walking or metal detecting?

Bring along your finds to discover more with the Finds Liaison Officer on Saturday 1st September 10:00-2:00.

Suitable for all the family. Free access for finds advice, normal museum applies for musem entry.

Peter Gray’s Exe Valley Railway

Amyas Crump presents a unique opportunity to see the best of renowned photographer Peter W Gray’s images of the Exe Valley Railway.

£5 per ticket (£4 for members) available from Tiverton Museum. The talks will take place at Tiverton Town Hall, 7:30pm.

Trash or Treasure

Our current temporary exhibition has a local archaeology theme. It is very family friendly with related activities around the museum. Entry as part of normal admission (adults £5, accompanied kids go free). Runs until 20th October.

October Half Term Crafts, Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 October.

Bugs and insect themed crafts . Sessions run 10:30 to 12:30 and 1:30 to 3:30. £3.00 per child (£2.50 for members of the museum). Suitable for ages 4-11. Prior booking is essential through museum shop.

Museums at Night

25 October 2018

Younger visitors can follow the pumpkin trail around the museum 5:00-6:00pm on Thursday 25th October.

Then visitors can visit the museum by torchlight and see if you meet any of the museum’s ghosts, 6:00-8:00pm. Normal museum admission applies.

Plus spooky crafts, additional charge may apply.

 


Early Victorian Devon

Local historian, David Parker, talks about Devon in the early Victorian period, a time of optimism and opulence.
