Farming was (and is!) of great importance to the Mid Devon District. This gallery features many horse drawn and hand tools that were used until mechanisation.
These displays explain the processes of ploughing, sowing, reaping, threshing, winnowing and finally, milling. The centrepiece of this gallery is the Exmoor Box Waggon dating from 1870, which used to carry the harvest home.
This cider making corner houses part of a magnificent scider press dating from 1670.
Find the man traps in the poaching case (there's a small clue in one of them!)
